Dr. Kenneth Utt
My name is Kenneth Utt and I am the happily retired, yet current, principal of Boise Valley Adventist School. I have spent 43 years as a junior high and high school teacher. I worked for the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 30 of those years and the other 13 years for the Tracy Unified Public School System. I have taught all junior high subjects, but have a love of history and math. I have spent five years as a principal and 18 years as a vice principal.
I love to see what the students are learning in their classrooms. I am excited about Project-based Learning and our school’s journey toward STEM Accreditation. I am proud of my staff members for completing the STEM Certification. We are truly working to prepare our students for 21st century learning and careers.
I have been married to my wife, Donetta, for 47 years. She taught school for 40 years, mostly 4th grade. We have two daughters that live in Portland, OR and Lincoln, NE and three grandchildren. We love Idaho and the great outdoors. We especially like to travel, play golf, kayak, and do yard work.
Not only do I want our children to be ready for 21st century careers, but I also want them to meet Jesus as their savior and best friend. You are more than welcome to visit with me at BVAS. I would welcome your input, ideas, donations, children, and prayers for our children and staff members.
