Dr. Kenneth Utt

Ken.jpg

My name is Kenneth Utt.  I was born in Oakland, CA and raised in Angwin, CA, near Pacific Union College.  My father was a professor of History at PUC and my mother was the acquisitions clerk for the PUC library.

Between my wife and I combined, we have both been in education for 83 years from Reno, NV to San Diego, CA to Spokane, WA to Lincoln, NE.  My first love academically is history and I've enjoyed 14 field trips to Washington, DC or Boston, MA over the years. I served my final 13 years of teaching in the Tracy Unified School District near Modesto, CA.  I have taught all junior high subjects, but have a love of history and math. Throughout my career, I have taught in junior high and high school, both public and private schools, along with administrative roles as vice principal and principal.

I love to see what the students are learning in their classrooms. I am excited about project-based learning and our school’s journey toward STEM Accreditation. I am proud of my staff members for completing their STEM Certification. We are truly working to prepare our students for 21st century learning and careers, while growing in Jesus and nurturing their own relationship with Him.

I have been married for 49 years.  We have two daughters that live in Portland, OR and Lincoln, NE and three grandchildren. We love Idaho and the great outdoors.  We especially like to travel, play golf, kayak, and do yard work.

You are more than welcome to visit with me at BVAS.  I welcome your input, ideas, donations, and prayers for our children and staff members.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at kutt@bvas.org
